Rainbow Jewellery Box with Piston Fit Trays

Inspired by the grain and colour of the wood used in SDC-63, this jewellery box was commissioned as a present for a “significant” birthday. Two piston fit trays constructed of Pau Ferro and Walnut with differing shades of blue felt sit within a walnut carcass topped by bookmatched Pau Ferro. The walnut grain wraps through the exposed dovetail joinery to give a sense of unbroken flow, while the inclusion of the knot on the right side adds character and celebrates the natural beauty of the wood..

Brown, purple, orange, gold and blue shades combine with high quality brass hardware to make what we think is a striking jewellery box that can be passed from generation to generation.
