“Suits you, Sir.”

Our Commissioning Process

  • Send us an email or use the contact form to let us know what you’re interested in commissioning. We’ll get in touch to setup a meeting either in person or via zoom or similar.

  • For you the client, this is generally the most involved step of the process. Discussions around form and function, and iterations of the combination of both to deliver the design you are looking for, have the potential to take a considerable amount of time, and involve many discussions and a site visit. Materials from this phase will usually include CAD diagrams, a specification of what is to be delivered, a rough timeline and an estimate of the cost allowing for any uncertainties.

Depending on the clarity and complexity of your idea we may ask for a small design fee to be paid to cover the work in this phase - if you choose not to proceed with the build you will own all of the resultant design materials, but if you go ahead the design fee will be deducted from the overall cost of the piece.

We can’t stress enough the importance of this phase - the specification of what is to be delivered is what we will work to in the upcoming build, and barring any uncertainties or points that have to be resolved during the build, any changes after this time will likely incur an additional charge.

Finally - your approval on the provided specification will also require a 30% deposit before we are able to start the build.

  • This is where all the hard work from Step 2 comes together. Build duration could be anywhere from 6 days to 6 months depending on what is to be delivered, but as an example, tables and chairs are usually deliverable within 8-12 weeks.

It’s stating the obvious, but the greater the complexity of either structure or materials, the longer the build time and hence the greater cost.

To keep you updated, we can provide regular updates on progress during the build, and rest assured that if any issues or questions rear their head during the process we will contact you to explain the issue, provide you with options and get your approval for what you would like us to do.

  • Hopefully the day where all your Christmases come at once. We will deliver your furniture on a pre-agreed date and provide you with any maintenance instructions.

For ease of use and simplicity of maintenance, not to mention quality of finish, we generally finish our furniture with a hardwax oil - this has the dual benefit of providing a very high quality finish to the piece and being extremely easy to look after and if necessary repair.
